Katrina Anniversary Critical Mass Bike Ride

In conjunction with Rising Tide North America, the CPRC and other local activists organized a Critical Mass bike ride for today. The goal was to remind people about the tragedy (still ongoing in many ways) of Katrina, and to inform people about the link between car culture, the oil industry, global warming, and the increasing force of hurricanes due to higher water temperatures in the Gulf of Mexico.

The photographs are here. I don’t have them labelled or commented on yet. I’m tempted to wait until I get my blog moved over to the new system, but I should probably label and comment on them while the memories are fresh.
