Brazil has decided you’re cute
The comic A Miracle of Science has been around for quite some time, but I’ve only recently become acquainted with it. It’s a science fiction comic set in a strange and diverse twenty-second century solar system. The writing is remarkably literary, even for a science fiction novel, much less a science fiction webcomic. The art is manga-style, and includes very well executed CG backgrounds.
Although the technology of the setting sometimes involves a bit too much technobabble to be considered hard SF, the author does include explanations of the thinking behind much of it in his comments on each comic, so the setting still feels somewhat like hard SF.
The story is mainly plot-driven (it is essentially a cop-show), but the main characters, including the villains, have fairly complex depths that, combined with the writing style, stop the comic from being pure space opera.
I’d highly recommend this comic to general audiences, but especially to fans of contemporary science fiction (especially the transhuman sub-genre).

Wonderful quotes from Questionable Content
From today’s Questionable Content:
Faye: Aw, boo! You’re supposed to screw the Man! Screw him so hard he thinks he’s a lady!
Martin: I think the Man is more interested in capitalism than gender-play.
Dora: Plus he can only achieve an erection if your civil rights are being violated.

Comics page
I’ve made my list of webcomics a little easier to get to by adding it to my main site, here. The nifty thing is how little work this required thanks to the magic of CSS.
