NPR’s All Things Considered Sunday had a segment today on Hayao Miyazaki and his latest film, Howl’s Moving Castle. The story mentions our favourite owl/cat/rabbit forest spirit and has a bit of her/his/its mighty roar. Have a listen, y’all!

Carl Hiaasen on the Gitmo Gulag

Carl Hiaasen writes on the Gitmo Gulag in the Miami Herald of all places (the link above is to a mirror to avoid odious registration). It’s good to see at least a little non-sycophantic coverage in the MSM. National Pentagon Radio’s hostile interview with the US Amnesty directory was particularly nauseating.
